Contact form
When you submit the contact form, the name, email address, subject category, and message you provide are sent by email to Joseph J. Valeri's inbox via Resend, a transactional email provider. That message is kept in the same place as any other email — there is no separate database. This site does not otherwise store, sell, or share the contents of contact form submissions.
Spam prevention
The contact form uses a hidden honeypot field and a timing check to filter automated spam submissions before they're processed. Submissions are also rate-limited per connection. No CAPTCHA is used.
Newsletter
Email subscriptions are handled entirely by Substack, not by this site. Subscribing takes you to https://joevaleri.substack.com, where your email address is collected and managed under Substack's own privacy policy. This site never receives or stores subscriber email addresses. To unsubscribe, use the link in any Substack email or manage your subscription directly on Substack.
Analytics
This site uses Plausible, a cookieless analytics service that does not track individuals across sites and does not require a cookie consent banner.
